About

Hi everyone! My name is Charly Rambin, and I am a Louisiana girl who has been making jewelry for the past six years. I now live in Memphis, Tennessee, and I just love it. Louisiana will always be home, but for the past 10 years, Memphis has been so good to me. I have built a truly special support system of friends here without whom I would be lost.

I started beading about six years ago, when out of boredom I took a class at a local bead store. My first necklace was a whimsical wire necklace loaded with Czech pressed flowers and leaves. I was hooked! Since then, I have created jewelry for family and friends mostly, selling here and there to support my habit.

Well, these days, my habit needs a little more support. No, lots–lots of support. Hence the blog and the upcoming Etsy store.

My mom came up with the name after hearing me call my little Sheltie by the nickname “Cha Cha La La.” Too cute, huh? I just shortened it up and added my name. I figure I am just as “cha cha” as Gabi is!

I use gemstones for the most part, as I am fond of not only their color and texture, but also their healing qualities. I try to incorporate as many natural materials into my jewelry as possible. Soon I hope to begin creating pieces featuring stitching and bead embroidery. I want to get into metalsmithing too. Oh–some polymer clay looks fun as well. I want to do it all!
